European Seismological Commission

Resolutions as adopted in Hersonissos, September 2008

ESC & EAEE: JOINT CONFERENCES

Recognizing

that the Joint conference with the colleagues of the EAEE, in Geneva, was very successful and provided opportunities for interaction between our two related communities, and

Considering

that there is also great benefit to ESC delegates in holding their traditional, smaller-scale assemblies

The ESC reccomends

that joint conferences with the EAEE be organised once every eight years, with the next one in 2014.

THANKS

Acknowledging

the hard work and warm welcome of the Local Organizing Committee in arranging the XXXI General Assembly of the ESC in Hersonissos, and noting the success of the sessions, and fruitful outcomes of many meetings and debates, the ESC Council

Thanks

the LOC for all their efforts and expertise in organizing such a successful and memorable occasion in all respects: the quality of the facilities and excellent social program.
