In Memory of Ü. Yalçın Kalyoncuoglu

Prof. Dr. Kalyoncuoglu passed away in 2020 after an heart attack. Prof. Dr. Kalyoncuoglu graduated from Karadeniz Technical University in 1991 and received his M.Sc. in 1995 from Süleyman Demirel University and Ph.D. from Kocaeli University. His research areas were seismology, applied geophysics, geotechnics, soil mechanics. During his academic life Prof. Dr. Kalyoncuoglu acted as the Director of Süleyman Demirel University Earthquke And Geotechnic Research Center, Head of Süleyman Demirel University Department of Geophysics and Dean of İstanbul Medeniyet University. He acted as the member of Turkish National Union of Seismology and Earth’s Interior (TUSAK).
