ESC-SSA Travel Grant 2024
The ESC-SSA Travel Grant 2024 was awarded to James Kirchenwitz from Miami University, USA, in order to attend the 40th ESC General Assembly and to present the work An Advanced Detection and Relocation Workflow for Characterizing Seismicity Associated with Hydraulic Fracturing in the Eagle Ford Shale Play, Texas, by J. Kirchenwitz, M. Brudzinski, K. Mazzio and M. Khalkhali.
The ESC General Assembly was preceeded by the Peter Bormann Young Seismologist Training Course from 31 August to 5 September, on the theme From Earthquake Science to Engineering: State-of-the-Art Perspectives. It was co-organized with the ORFEUS Annual Workshop 2026 (3-5 September) and benefitted from generous financial and logistical support from ORFEUS and Geo-INQUIRE.
